The History of Celeste Speedruns - The Peak of Movement

www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lgP...
Will have to see about post game and let the thoughts settle a bit but honestly feels like a 2/5 game to me right now.
I'll refrain from spoiling as always but man

Z-A's finale was really just ass to me. One of the things I've really valued in recent pokemon games, mixed as they may be, is their abilities to having a satisfying climax. Z-A feels like it's trying really hard to but doesn't know what to prioritize.
There are short bursts where I enjoy legends Z-A but most of it has just been so repetitive and slow. Not really surprised but I was at least hoping the battle system would feel fresh, but it's really not nearly as dynamic as I'd hoped either.
4 hours of revisiting silksong later I have not gained a single percent completion nor do I have any leads clues or guesses. I've checked everything I could think of bar combing through every single screen in the game systematically. Yeah this is definitely one of the game's flaws in my opinion.
Maybe one day I'll put all my thoughts on paper if anyone cares but like I said the game is amazing despite its flaws and I definitely love it.
Finished Silksong at 97% completion in about 55 hours. I couldn't bring myself to finely comb the every area again for the last little bit but I'll definitely get 100%, though I won't resort to guides.

It's incredible how many issues I have with the game while it still stays an amazing experience.
Damn dude watching the direct and seeing the DK Bonanza DLC I already raised an eyebrow thinking how that game just came out. Then they announce Pokemon DLC before the main game is even out... At what point do we stop calling it DLC and just consider the games as sold in overpriced pieces.
No spoilers but I didn't really want to comment on the game before 100%ing it but wow silksong might actually just have too much content. I'm almost 50 hours in and for so many-th time it just adds so many things to do. I'm getting a little tired of it but I really want to clear it soon.
youtube streams autoplaying in the thumbnail on mobile is really bad when you try to avoid silksong spoilers lmao
steam dying give me silk
who up silkin they song
cant decide whether I want to buy silksong on switch 2 (cope because I barely use it atm but it's also portable) or PC
Right now I'm seeing it more and more on engineering/maker type videos (I love those) which I guess is a slightly different culture than my corner of the internet, but I really hope it doesn't leak over.
Tired of creators I respect randomly flashing AI generated images in spots where there it doesn't even add anything regardless. But more frustrating is that I always end up scrolling the comments and being disappointed at how few people seem frustrated by it anymore. Afraid it'll be normalized.
Thought it'd be cool if for my next video I'd record all my footage at 4k 120fps - both to get the highest quality and allow me to zoom and slow-motion with minimal quality loss. Now I have 500 gigabytes of footage :)
Thanks, yeah I imagine it'll break again in the future, couldn't exactly find the exact issue anyway with it going away like that so I'll just have to wait it out.
I'm casual with electronics repair but like to try. I decided to try to fix my old frame1 where one of the buttons didn't work. I confirmed it was still broken I figured it might be solder break so I got a multimeter and tested for continuity. Just after probing a while it was fixed. Magic lmao
It magically stopped freezing we might be so back
Davinci resolve has been a headache recently. There's huge new features in version 20 that could save so much time, and they work (kinda!). I just have to bear with constant freezes and crashing which still makes it end up take the same amount of time but with triple the frustration.

I can finally release my biggest project so far: A Celeste Movement Guide. This is by far my biggest project that I worked on and off for the past few years. I'm very glad to finally be able to share it and give quite a few tidbits to optimize your Celeste speedruns.
