"A joyous romp through gore."

AMONG SERPENTS is out now in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook.
One of my absolute favorite things about being a discovery writer, is sometimes I write something I didn't expect, and I love it so much that even though I know it'll change the rest of the book, I just gotta do it.
I'm getting ready for my trip to Houston in a couple weeks. A school is bringing me in as their featured author, and I'll be doing an assembly, and teaching four classes and signing books!

I'll also be doing a bookstore event with Blue Willow Books!

I hope to see you there!
I known it sounds so thrilling and exciting because all the cool kids are doing it now, but...

I highly suggest you do NOT accidentally spill a cup of boiling water from the crock pot on your socked foot.

I did it recently, and I 100% do not recommend.
Yes, I started querying agents with it in 2017!
That is good! It's unfortunately still showing for me.
I'm still really bothered that if someone looks up a review for Sky's End on Google, the first review on Google reviews is from someone claiming my book is AI and then rants about AI.

I worked on this book for so many years with my own human hands and mind. It's really unfair to me and my journey.

Join me on Saturday, October 25th for a book signing event at Barnes & Noble in West Jordan, Utah!

I look forward to meeting you and signing your copies!

I like to write about duels and giant monster battles and morally gray worlds. What about you?
Badges I've collected from my author visits to conferences, conventions, and schools.
I pitched DOWNFALL to a room full of booksellers!
Tonight I am flying to Denver to present DOWNFALL to ~100 booksellers from across the west tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I am so happy this is my life.
Behind the Glass went on sub to publishers in August 2020.

It got an offer in October 2024.

It's planned for release in Fall 2026, and will be my fourth published book, and first sci-fi.
Sky's End is $0.99 on Kindle right now! Good time to take the jump with the sequel out and finale coming in March.
I wonder if Brandon Sanderson gets the aggressive book reviewers in his DMs telling him they'll read and review his book and post it on Goodreads and Amazon for a reasonable price.
Signed copies of SKY'S END paperback at B&N in Sugarhouse, Utah.
I sent my first query for SKY'S END on March 17th, 2017.

That book became a trilogy.

Nine years later, the final book in the trilogy, DOWNFALL, releases on March 17th, 2026.
DOWNFALL is now releasing on March 17th, 2026.

Thank you for your patience as we get this one ready for you. I can't wait for you to read it, and I hope you're as satisfied with it as I am.

Also, you might want to save your pre-order receipts!
Author goal unlocked!

SKY'S END spotted at the airport in Salt Lake!
Can't say much else, but you should probably pre-order DOWNFALL and save your receipt for something...
Nothing like seeing someone leave a review claiming your book is AI when I wrote the book in 2016.

Guys, just because you don't like a book it doesn't mean it's AI.

Writing stories is my passion. I'd rather chew razor blades than use generative AI to write my stories.
