Crossword geek (Guardian crossword stats database), politics obsessive (but when the fun stops, stop), intolerant of intolerance. Appropriately butterfly mind - it flits about all over the place. The Archers is real life.

Crucible and then Tramp in December 2010 and January 2011! However, Crucible had set daily puzzles before then, so the last time 2 setters made their debuts for the Guardian with consecutive Genius puzzles was Lavatch (aka Picaroon) followed by Locum in December 2006 and January 2007.
By all means! You are the 3rd Genius debutant this year (after KGB and Odo) and the 35th credited Genius Contributor. "Glyph" is the 117th pseudonym to grace a Guardian crossword (all formats).
Today, Brendan set his first Thursday crossword for The Guardian this year, completing the set for the 6th consecutive year and 8th in all (he also did it in '08 and '11). He is now joint 2nd on this list with Altair, behind only Araucaria.

Lovely puzzle too: www.theguardian.com/crosswords/c...

But obviously the reason that this one is booked up until 2027 is because it's the Traitors castle so it's the only one that will do. (PS: It can only be free in 3 weeks because the overworked production team are going on strike.)
Well, whoever goes will confirm they are a Faithful as they exit. Devastating to find out (if the Traitors murder the survivor) that they were wrong either way.
Whoever survives, the Traitors should murder the other one anyway just to fuck with the dwindling remaining Faithfuls. As in "HA HA - you were wrong either way!"
OmigodiloveTheTraitors!
Pearls before swine, mate. At least you're getting doffed caps for the Armstrong clue!
9 dailies and a Genius this year from @enigmatistelgar.bsky.social, matching 2009. 1 more daily and he will have hit double figures for the first time since 1999; 2 more and it will be his largest tally since 1987.

Now then, can I actually solve the damn thing...

I see Andrea Jenkyns, whose Refuk party wants migrants to speak English, has cut spending on teaching English as a second language.

And as part of their relentless 'cost-cutting' wants to grab an extra £147k of public money for her own spending.

Refuk - saying one thing and doing the opposite.

🤔
That is a simply outstanding name.
Proper appointment telly. So difficult to achieve, and equally difficult to define what will do the trick (eg Traitors: yes; Destination X: no)
I'm tempted to say that Miliband has dropped some shade on Reform there...
