If they leave the tattoo on when matured and not drunk, then they still agree with the philosophy behind that tattoo. And it is distinctly contrary to the best ideals of this nation.

support whomever you’d like, but what is frustratingly dishonest about this take is that actual issue — the thing critics have identified as the problem — isn’t the decision of the 21-year old to get the tattoo, but of the judgment of the 40-year old who still has it.

I think political writers actually should have an opinion about a guy in his 40s having a Nazi tattoo. The decision to keep it on their body may tell us more than their website.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Buckley's Chance has no idea who Jesus is, does he? I'm not Catholic (I'm on the Protestant side, but was raised Catholic/went to Catholic School), and the Pope and I agree. Helping the poor/sick/needy/refugee/etc ARE priorities for Jesus's disciples. His priorities. Matthew 25.

I have a problem with wealth and power in religion. Including my own. But when someone says, "I want it destroyed," then it's teh same tyrannical impulse that history shows is not good. Intolerance is always a problem. Always. YOu are intolerant if your words are true.

Imposing of philosohphies/religions goes with power--be it pagan, Christian, Muslim, or atheistic communists. Again, it' goes back to power. Christians who enslaved were not following either the Supreme Law (love) or the golden rule. Hence, not really disciples of Christ.

Yes, well, I have AFrican and Taino blood, so my ancestors suffered from imperialism and colonialism, too. But if teh vast majority of human in existence from all time had some sort of religion, then of course abuse from the evil comes in there. Just as abuse in atheistic forms.

MAGA Christianity has made the nation its idol, and Trump it's Chosen One. IT is a form of idolatry. Instead of serving the "least of these" and willing to "lay down one's life," it's "go get them" and "tax cuts for the rich" and screw the "xenos." It's not of CHrist.

I see similar things when Christians in history didn't listen to Jesus, but made the establishment (be it Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant) their "god." Where did Jesus or the apostles say torture, kill, make war. THE OPPOSITE.
