A man lies on the grass in the park next to his girlfriend. They are holding hands and their eyes are closed. A dog walks up to the man, licks his forehead and runs away. The man opens his eyes and sits straight up, looking with shock, and sort of awe at his confused girlfriend.

As I sit on a bench on the platform, a draught created by an arriving train turns a page of my newspaper with such force, I look up expecting somehow a giant to be there, who has turned the page with its giant hands.

On my way home I find myself briefly behind a woman with the same hair, way of dressing, shape and even walk of someone I loved hugely who died a long time ago. She crosses the street and I wish we were going the same way to give me more time in a world where I have not lost her.
