Terrified to announce 11/25/25 release. A journey of weird record stores, grimy clubs, and starting venerable label Bloodshot Records. History, memoir, how-to, and a cautionary call to support indie arts communities before they are gone.

Oh my.
That is brilliant.

While an ENORMOUS fan of "Crime and Punishment", I found the "Brothers Karamazov" to be both a crime, and a punishment to read.

Well, thanks very much.
Hopefully, the whole event in Indy will help soothe my mourning over the Tigers' early playoff exit. Though, that game...my goodness. A reminder that when baseball is at its best, it is the best game---despite how hard external forces try to ruin it.

Just a reminder all you #booksky store owners, and distributors. Stop by my table Wednesday afternoon and we can chat about punk rock, alt-country, dive bars, seedy clubs, owning small businesses, and maybe even a little about the book

I was recently reminded my a mutual friend that about 25 years ago T leveled one the people I hate most in this city with 2 quick jabs to the face because, as he said, matter-of-factly, "he deserved it."

My tight pair of snowpants, right?

Thx. And thx for the Tony article. Just so...sad. He was always a fan and was on my list to send a promo copy. His opinion would have meant so much-if he liked my Chicago stories, it would have meant that I had "gotten" it, that it rang authentic. The man's bullshit detector was unparalleled

We're reallocating promotional resources.

Trilogy of Terror scared the pants off me when I was a kid. Just SEEING that still made the hair on my arms jump up.

How is this in any way irrational?

It gets me some smiles and nods, and, occasionally, a scowl.

Spent a lot of money in there...

I'll be spinning spooky tunes from obscure weirdos you don't get to hear very often, all in sparkling monSTEREO sound.

And you are doing...what...exactly...in response (other than posting about it)

You are my representative.
REPRESENT.

I feel alone as my elected representative isn't rising to the moment. My mental health is not so good today, with ICE agents roaming YOUR DISTRICT.

Also spotted by a school, also on Western and Dakin stopping people and asking "where they are going"...

Isn't this your district @quigley.house.gov ?

Are you...mad enough to write another letter?
millerscave.bsky.social
Glad to see it, but agree. People were grabbed a 1/2 mile from here in Lincoln Square and I see no sign of my representative @quigley.house.gov anywhere.
He has made some nice posts today about Italian-American Heritage month and the death of the Loyola basketball nun.
So, that's nice.

I've watched this video EASILY 50 times this year, and the manic joy in his face throughout...
And the pleasure he takes from the solos of the other players.

AND, did ANYONE play the floor tom as well as him?*

(Trick question: the answer is no.)

Any discussion of proto-punk that excludes Little Richard is incomplete...

If only my representative @quigley.house.gov would join him.

Wait, does that mean we they want to hear "Gilbert & Sullivan" or "A Tribute to Kajagoogoo" at half time?

Count me out...

Oh wait, maybe I'm misunderstanding the implication
