While an ENORMOUS fan of "Crime and Punishment", I found the "Brothers Karamazov" to be both a crime, and a punishment to read.

Hopefully, the whole event in Indy will help soothe my mourning over the Tigers' early playoff exit. Though, that game...my goodness. A reminder that when baseball is at its best, it is the best game---despite how hard external forces try to ruin it.

Thx. And thx for the Tony article. Just so...sad. He was always a fan and was on my list to send a promo copy. His opinion would have meant so much-if he liked my Chicago stories, it would have meant that I had "gotten" it, that it rang authentic. The man's bullshit detector was unparalleled
