Happy Indigenous Peoples Day
To the Aztec, whose temples touched the sun.
To the Lenape, whose spirit still walks Philly’s rivers.
To the dancers at Seeds Pow Wow, whose feet drum the earth awake.
Today we honor truth, survival, and joy.
The land remembers. The people rise.

Cloudy and calm. Agawa Canyon Park, ON, Canada.
A a mountainside covered in green pine trees, yellow, orange, and light green deciduous trees meets a calm river. Puffy gray clouds overhead and the colors along the banks are reflected in the water’s surface.

That's like four economics awards in a row with a substantial economic-history component, right? That strikes me as a remarkable shift. www.nobelprize.org/prizes/lists...

Night time on the Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne (11/10/2025)
Towards the illuminated Millennium Bridge and on the Gateshead side of the Tyne, The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, a converted flour mill.

A night time view from the Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne looking towards the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, a pedestrian and cyclist bridge that spans the River Tyne in North East England, connecting Gateshead's Quays with the Quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The large supporting arch above the bridge deck is illuminated in blue high powered lights. The colour of the lights change constantly.
The blue arch is reflected in the still waters of the river, as are the coloured LED lights on the bridge deck.
On the opposite (Gateshead) side of the river is the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, a converted flour mill that now serves as a major international art venue.
The moon is high above in the dark sky with some streaky white clouds.
The bridge has won numerous awards, including the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2002 for its innovative design.
Completed in 2001 and opened in 2002, it is the world's first tilting bridge, nicknamed the "Winking Eye" for its unique design, which allows large ships to pass beneath by pivoting the entire structure on its foundations.
The bridge features two steel arches, with the deck forming the pedestrian and cycle path and the larger supporting arch providing the tilting mechanism.

Initially, our testers (even those who were big fans of mayo) were intimidated by the thought of eating such a fatty condiment by the spoonful. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as daunting a task as we had expected. nyti.ms/3KyWLQd

Fun fact: Bluesky is outperforming Twitter on conversions for my Kickstarter by 900%.

Despite it having the most followers of any platform for me, Twitter is converting at lower numbers than EVERY OTHER social media platform I'm using (Facebook, Threads, Instagram, Bluesky).

Just bone chilling. And when the imprisonment of critics is combined with his offer to enrich and immunize his loyalists, this is how democracies die fast.

But it's still our choice. Don't let him silence you.

Good Morning Bluesky!

Let breath be your beginning.
Not the to-do list. Not the noise.
Just breath.

Let presence be your power.
Not perfection. Not performance.
Just presence.

Even pebbles will become a golden beach.
Time is not your enemy.
It’s your tide.

✌️🫶 ☕️

I think I'd cycle 80 miles in a headwind to see Ely Cathedral. No other cathedral feels so organically grown from the earth itself - it's lantern tower is one of the most verdant wonders of the medieval world. #thread
Ely Cathedral’s octagon and spires rise above the town’s tiled rooftops, their weathered stone and intricate pinnacles catching morning light beneath a pale blue Fenland sky.
