Why should we have to pay for essential services like public transport? Don't they make everything else more efficient and profitable?

Meanwhile in Germany - children travel on the train for free, they were running a 9 Euros a month unlimited ticket for anyone and if you have a ticket to a football (thats soccer Americans) match you get free rides on the day of the game.

Living here in Singapore, my local town has 4 malls, a skate park, no arcade anymore but there is still a gaming/internet cafe, plus 3 cinemas & a bowling alley. Plus all estates have public hang out places - condos have BBQ areas etc, public housing have void decks and seating areas. Different life

All ID systems are stored digitally and accessed online. What is the issue with people having their ID as digital? Where I live we have both physical and digital and to be honest I hardly use the card anymore.

What is so bad about one ID app that has the important info on it to prove your identity. All info the government already has and stores online.

Then remember all the countries that already have such a system.

The ID card is going to have what, your name, photo, DoB and citizen status on it. OH NOES. Just like the ID card I have been carrying for almost 20 years with ZERO ISSUE.

There's nothing wrong with a national ID system in principle. It simplifies identifying yourself when needed, proving your age, etc etc. One simple system that everyone gets used to using.

What privacy is being traded when the gov have that data anyway?

You know we used to have a PHONE BOOK that gave that information out to EVERYONE.

Meanwhile here I sit in a country with long-standing national ID, both physical and digital and it WORKS.

Sounds very much like Rockstar North under Leslie for the overtime, but to be fair Rockstar had very efficient HR for those other issues. I guess he didn't take those with him....
