I'd always wanted to learn photography, Finally in the mid 2000s I picked up a Canon A1 and some lenses from a coworker. Within a year I was shooting 4x5 and then started with medium format the year after. I've shot digital a handful of times and I don't hate it, but it doesn't speak to me the same.

I don't know the math around aperture comparisons, but f/2 on a 6x6 frame is close to my Nikon f/1.2 on 35mm, even maybe slightly more shallow so your f/1.25 is probably close. The math doesn't really say much though since it's square vs a wide rectangle, so the feel is very different.

Yeah true, at least with Dead Can Dance, you have songs entirely in English, or entirely glossolalia. Frasier's mix of English words, words from other languages and made up words is interesting.
