A pair of parades kick off the weekend with the Upside Down Parade in Washington Park, Chicago and The Parents Place 8th Annual in Springfield.

On Sunday, two Trunk or Treat events take place in Carol Stream and Downtown Mansfield.

On Saturday, The Midwest Garrison will be attending the 11th Annual Arts in the Dark Parade and be sure to find the troops in Westmont for the Trick or Treat Trail.

Sunday we will be supporting the Make A Wish Walk events at the Lincoln Park Zoo and Elk Grove Village Busse Woods.

Ryan was nominated for his efforts in three different events. Ryan is a natural leader, who would man the booth, talk to many attendees informing them of our cause, and most importantly, making sure our troopers are taken care of.

On Saturday, October 4th, members of we welcomed a visitor that came all the way from the New Zealand Outpost 42 Garrison !

TK-42067 was doing a cross country trip with his family and asked if any troopers in IL wanted to meet up.

Our central and downstate squad did 3 events the same day Supporting the St. Jude Walk, the Down Syndrome Buddy Walk, and Walk for Wishes events.

We also had one of our best troopers support the Austism Hero Project during the Across the Spectrum 5K in Yorkville.

Over the weekend, the MWG attended 5 events, supporting very worthy causes.

The Elk Grove Library Comic Con and the troops ended up raising money for Lurie's Children's Hospital and Second City Canine Rescue!
