It should definitely be a mystery type story that requires that both Lois and Clark investigate to uncover the truth, go undercover, that such of thing.

Something like that could be very cool if done right.
It would certainly need to have multiple villains of different caliber, all answering to a big bad (not necessarily Luthor), though not every fight has to be a spectacle in which buildings are destroyed.
(with sporadic appearances throughout the movie -- but doing things of worth, not saving cats from trees).
A great Superman movie would be one that revolves around Lois and Clark's roles as reporters for the Daily Planet. It could be a political thriller or the like that builds up in intensity until it reaches the point where Superman is the only one that can save the day
The latter should always take precedent over the former so that when the former comes about (represented by his sneaking away into a closet and declaring that the situation he finds himself in "looks like a job for -- Superman!") it carries more weight.
One is represented by his powers and abilities "far beyond those of mortal man" and the other is represented by his being an investigative reporter for the Daily Planet.
A Superman movie should be able to portray the two halves of the character.

One is the alien part and the other is the Earthling part.
If Paramount purchased WB would they still license IP like Star Trek and TMNT to publishers like IDW or would they instead publish them through DC Comics?
Nothing like that could actually happen in real life, right?
I've gotten to the point in my Babylon 5 re-watch in which President Clark declares martial law, uses Night Watch officers to imprison civilians that accuse him of being a criminal, dissolved the Senate, and begun incarcerating his political opponents on TRUMPed up charges.

"I want to go see Tron: Ares!"

"We have Tron: Ares at home."

Tron: Ares at home:
For sure.

I haven't seen it yet but definitely looking forward to it. It does look great.
In contrast, Gunn's activity was typical of his consistent, transparent social media style, generating steady impressions rather than a sudden, viral spike."

The irony is that the spike was likely caused by "real" fans that hate the image more so than by fans of the Snyderverse.
"Conclusion: Zack Snyder's social media impressions on October 17, 2025, were almost certainly higher and more focused than James Gunn's. Snyder's strategic post touched a raw nerve in the DC fanbase, driving a huge, focused conversation.
period/season it was released in?
If Superman can be considered a box office success because it is the highest-grossing superhero movie of the time period/season it was released in, by that same logic shouldn't Tron: Ares also be considered a box office success since it is the highest-grossing science fiction movie time

It's funny how quickly people forgot about that movie, isn't it?
I can understand the Doctor regenerating into the Curator.

I can understand the Doctor regenerating into Caecilius.

I can understand the Doctor regenerating into Rose.

But why, why, why would he regenerate into Maxil, ANOTHER Time Lord?
Having finished re-watching the Donna Nobel season of Doctor Who I can see why she's become the most revisited companion of the modern era; she's nothing more and nothing less than the Doctor's best friend, akin to Jamie with the second Doctor.
Censors: "WHOA, WHOA, WHOA. You cannot show that, it goes against our guidelines. Settle for TELLING people about it!"

Prose writers: "Read this text and just imagine what I'm describing."
Writers: "Show, don't tell. Audiences want to SEE, not be told."

Producers: "WHOA, WHOA, WHOA. That is way too expensive to show, the budget cannot cover it. Settle for TELLING people about it!"
Since there is no "28 Months Later" film as part of that franchise they should take advantage of its availability to make a streaming series to fill in that blank.
