Happy to report that my two newly senior cats are 9 1/2 years-old and officially recovered from their anesthetic-induced teeth cleaning and are no longer collapsing from kitty k-holes, rolling around in their litter robot for pleasure, and licking the floors for comfort.

All teeth intact, too!

Anyhow, my name is Michael, or MKM, and it's nice to meet you.

Would love to wax poetic about SF, the news, failing upwards at cooking, music, books, living with chronic illness, being a dreaded millennial, the Criterion Collection, tinsel, rollerblading, giraffes... you know, important things.

For the record, I'm steadfast in my belief that individuals should connect to help create positive changes. However, with the latest cultural and corporate shifts from the current social media juggernauts, I'm feeling less enthusiastic about where and how to connect.

I'm finding it curious to build another profile from scratch on social media.

MySpace to Blogspot to Facebook and beyond — I did them all because I felt required to so. Like I'd be missing out on the world.

But the world has shifted to something surreal and volatile. What can we accomplish here?
