Will a change to hybrid rules make a big change no, but it still shouldn't change, commander is a variant built on restrictions if you can't handle that I suggest you talk with YOUR playgroup or you play a different format
I don't care if you bend or break the color pie, just stay in your identity. You choose a restriction when you started building the deck so stick with it. Look if you really want to play these cards ask your playgroup they are the final say what you can do not wizards
color pie is not the thing to focus on color identity is, look if you want to play a card in your mono-color deck (a restriction you choose yourself) talk to your playgroup, ask nicely if your not a raging dick they will probably let you.
So let's rephrase this a bit mono-color decks are whining about not being able to play the deck they want because of a restriction THEY placed on themselves choosing a mono-colored commander, if you really want to play a card in your deck that isn't allowed by the rules TALK to your effing playgroup
