Not to discourage you, but it took me about 2 months to get into a new workflow and get past all/most of the pain points. By month 3 it felt like 2nd nature to use.

Best of luck with adapting. Hope it goes similar if not better for ya.

Having that Win drive out there gives you a fallback if it doesn't work out.

Even if you don't take those extra steps, really the only way to get over the learning curve it to just take the plunge and force yourself to figure out your new workflow for yourself.

Definitely not for everybody. Would recommend making a list of all your programs you use/need and find Linux equivalents first (and use Wine for those that don't exists...mileage may vary).

Then...if you can afford it...install Linux on another drive and leave your Win one alone.

Can't complain about Mint. You picked probably the best distro if you're familiar/comfortable with Win7/10.

Been daily driving it since early 2023 and I don't think I can ever go back.
