I had decided his birth name is 朝顔 or "Asagao" - meaning "morning glory" (lit. translates as "morning face")

Kid Tarrlok (on the right) looks consistent to adult Tarrlok. I have no idea why they didn't just give kid Noatak/Amon light skin if they'd already finalized Amon's adult design w/ light skin

I don't even think they'd come up with Amon's backstory by the time production started, because if they'd known he was supposed to be this guy's brother, they would have given him darker skin from the get go

Genuinely I don't know how a fuck up that catastrophic happened - beyond the fact that we know the production was super rushed and the art book implies young Noatak's design was a rush job riddled with communication problems. They got away with it in 2014 but they would NEVER get away with this now

a) That isn't how melanin works, oh my god, b) it's a cartoon, drawn by humans, Amon is not real, someone chose to draw him light skinned LOL
