For decades Israel isolated Gazans, locked them into open air prisons, rationed their food & water, shot their children, jailed them -and then obliterated Gaza.

I agree, but I'm finding audio books more manageable, these days.

And even I was surprised that I've been devouring books for 60 years now, Enid Blyton was my first, aged 8, I still miss them.

I used to live near Rowntrees in York, where the Easter & Christmas chocolatey aromas were heavenly.

Left in '88, but I was still very sad that Nestlé bought it. It could only end badly with them, and now they've announced massive redundancies.

I've often thought how odd it is, to have all 1st world (?) economies kicking poor people in the head. Countries with multi millionaires.....?

No time to debate options, no pause to highlight priorities & risks. In fact, no plan at all!

And here we are.....

So now, 'Parliament' has to be patient!

What kind of tax were you thinking of? I entered a gambling shop once, in the early 80's, so wonder what tax would hit the betting industy, but avoid 'gamblers'?

I hate the shops and the gambling, but i can guess who pays for increased taxes.
