As a follow up to that reply, it was the same level of "oh. oh they weren't actually joking" shock when I first watched the Adam West's Batman show, and I thought all the parodies/etc of Robin's outfit were overblowing how tiny Robin's shorts were

Watching the original James Bonds movie is a *trip* now-a-days. I remember doing a binge watch and being legit stunned that Pussy Galore was, in fact, the name of an ACTUAL CHARACTER and not just a joke/meme.
