I thought that restaurants had some protocols and such and had to be honest about what they have on the menu, but apparently, given the rise of these sort of articles, not? You can just fuck around and hope no one dies? What the heck?

It has already gotten to the point that when I eat out I specifically ASK if it is a dead animal. And people look at me strangely and think I want to know if there is a veggie/vegan option. NO, I want to know that your meat is meat. Not some fake/will make me sick/die stuff.

But if I had eaten there I could have gotten sick, or worse. Because I cannot eat 90%+ of the vegan/vegetarian meat alternatives due to soy/beans/legumes/nuts/peanuts. I would like to go to a restaurant without even more stress than I normally already have (as people suck).

Could restaurants just be honest about what is on their menu? I read YET another news article about a restaurant that apparently changed their chicken meals to fake chicken meals. And they were proud of it, because no one noticed. No, thankfully for you no one had allergies or intolerances.
