- mixed attacker, best attacking stat is 102
- defense dropped by 20, explodes upon u-turn
- tinkaton syndrome of best stat being sp def for some baffling reason

though back to swsh, i'd rather a full blown remake over a legends game. there's a solid structure with the darkest day and revisionist history burying the dogs to time, it needed to go all in with its ideas rather than dip their toes. heck the gym leaders stop being relevant after kabu sans piers.

galar was style without substance and the wild area with its erratic weather and bizzare lack of significance beyond hey look, pseudo open world only exemplified this. paldea is substance without style: one of the best stories in the series but you can only enter 1 out every 10 buildings.

they're servicable entries, obviously have flaws that for a franchise as profitable as pokemon really shouldn't be there but they have their charms to them that knowing tpc can do better for the games is what makes "okay" annoying to see.

i say this still on the fence regarding z-a.

played violet on base switch and while horribly unoptimized, the story is leaps and bounds ahead of swsh. that being said, i still prefer gen 8 for the art style and overall atmosphere despite the linearity. also i assure they're hated because of vgc, and big brain on ghost horse got sent to ag too.
