Another friend just wrote a book. A book about marathons. And I don’t care.

A different friend wrote a book a few years ago about résumé’s . I could relate to that one a bit more. I still don’t care.

I have at least 9 friends who have written books.

Great, now I feel like a slacker!

I can get 60 FPS if I pre-load all the tiles. But it would be great to get this method working so I can add more detail to the crab and the background. The current graphics were made quickly as a test.

The VRAM viewer looks like it’s swapping a lot of tiles to me. The whole background uses about 650 tiles total and displays around 385 at a time.

I also just realized the video has audio of a YouTube video I was watching in the background. So I’m going to delete this post.

And I am getting about 28 FPS with this instead of the usual 60 so the slowdown is obvious. OUCH!
