2/2 He [Dr Ramsay] helped establish the MEA which was founded in around 1980 & continued to be a stalwart advocate for people with this disease, until his death in 1990.

The Ramsay Research Fund was established to honour his commitment to the patient community.

1/2 About Ramsay Research Fund & Dr Melvin Ramsay

The ME Association(MEA) funds its medical research via the Ramsay Research Fund (a ring-fenced fund).

Dr Melvin Ramsay brought the neurological disease Myalgic Encephalomyelitis to the attention of the medical profession in 1955.
