So, y’all. We’re not broke.

While we have strong reserves and revenues, we are working to reduce the expenditure line like responsible family and business budgets do. You’ll continue to see strong fiscal management to ensure outstanding services and good pay for our workers.
Just a few years ago, we brought back the Kansas City Park Ranger Service after generations away. Their work has been exceptional in providing law-enforcement and support resources to our park system and ensuring safe visits for everyone in Kansas City’s Parks.
Our city cannot thrive without strong public schools. Proud to spend time with Superintendent Collier, her team, and outstanding business community supporters of Kansas City Public Schools.
40,000 fans and a few mayors got to see where professional sports and fan bases are going and growing the fastest. We will keep investing even more in sporting opportunities for all.

I hope to welcome their fans to Kansas City during the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup. 🌍🤞🏽
From the success of the Current to setting a record crowd for US Women’s Rugby, Kansas City is proud of its role at the heart of women’s sports worldwide. I recently had the chance to see the passion and growth of women’s soccer overseas at @en.werder.de
Honored to address a packed house at Grandparents for Gun Safety, helping keep our children safe, advocating for safe storage, responsible ownership, and a reduction in gun violence harming our kids. Great advocacy from folks who have stood up for common sense in our community.
I congratulate Jackson County on the selection of an interim executive through the end of 2026. Phil LeVota will serve at a pivotal time for taxpayers in our most populous county in Kansas City, our businesses, and our community. I look forward to working with Executive LeVota and the legislature.
Attorney Phil LeVota named interim Jackson County executive
LeVota succeeds Frank White Jr., who was recalled by voters on Sept. 30. LeVota will serve until November 2026, which is the remainder of White's term. He used to work in the county prosecutor's offic...

THANK YOU TO OUR WORKERS!!!

More resurfacing and pothole filling coming to you citywide in Kansas City for smoother streets ahead. 🙏🏾
Historic amounts of pothole filling and street resurfacing continue in Kansas City this week with work citywide, including new street surfaces on Broadway, Paseo, and residential streets throughout the City. We hear you want smoother and safer rides.

We’re catching up on decades of backlogs. 🚧
Our trail network is strong, but could be more robust. Entry points are good, if non-plentiful, and parks space is exceptional but needs some love. Expect more attention to where we were founded and what continues to give us life each day. Can’t wait!
I love the nature we have all around us in Kansas City, including the miles of riverfront and forest we have within city limits. I spent three hours on the Missouri this weekend to see what we do right and where we can do better to enhance recreational access to the river.
Good night, Kansas City and surrounds. 😕
Let’s keep it up and remember our neighbors, our families, our kids, and our love are worth the effort.
This weekend I saw the best of Missouri. From young leaders signing up to serve as Kansas City’s Bravest, to folks in rural areas sharing their land and time with my kids, community festivals, and an artist and fans reminding us to show love on all

Our vision of Missouri was on display and shined
She reminded us why we work hard to ensure Kansas City forever remains a hub of acceptance, of love, of joy for all of our friends and neighbors throughout Middle America. You belong here and we were delighted to see so many of you sparkle with pride and joy this weekend. 🩷
I was heartened to hear that her early journey saw her come to Kansas City at a time she needed to feel welcome and safe in a world that too often is inhospitable to those who are different.
I also thank Chappell Roan. Like many of us, she’s from Missouri. Over two nights, she reminded us what a difference we can make here at home for others looking to find a safe place and community in life.
My thanks to the tradeswomen and men who built up the stage, our Parks and Memorial staff who each day build great events large and small for families from here and far away, those in public safety and public transportation, and the sanitation workers each night and today.
I’m proud of Kansas City as place that was able to get the show (along with New York and LA), hosted it spectacularly in a City-owned public park, and that helped build a memorable weekend for so many.
An admission: I didn’t know much Chappell Roan music before this weekend, which saw thousands converge on downtown to witness one of this generation’s best singing voices in a welcoming crowd…

Out in the country this evening.

I hope you all have a beautiful Saturday night in Kansas City and surrounds.
It was a beautiful night and concert for Chappell Roan and her fans from the grounds of the National WWI Museum and Memorial on one of her three stops nationwide.

Thanks to the crews, the band, our great guests, and all who made it possible. Enjoy the show in Kansas City tonight as well!
Tonight tens of thousands will converge for Chappell Roan on the WWI Museum area and Downtown and get in and out efficiently for a memorable night in the most exciting part of our region. They’re already out filling bars and establishments from Midtown to Downtown.

Interesting. Enjoy!
