For me, this is a note perfect encapsulation of being an awkward teenage 80s goth. “Obsessive, deadpan and moribund…” 😆🖤

Also, I don’t mean that a Siouxsie comparison is underselling Garlands as such; I just meant that Garlands is strong in its own right, that it’s not the work of mere copyists. Certainly it sounds more like post punk listening to it these days, no bad thing in my book
