I can see how you can run a city with a Mayor..... not quite sure how a County, especially a complicated one like Cumbria comes together..... So little link between North & South / Lakes & industrial West.....

and we're getting a Mayor that no one seems to want apart from the local authorities..... £333 million over 30 years..... £22 per person per year..... It's costing about £300M to build the new link road around Carlisle!

exactly what you have sown..... Money galore for London projects..... can't get public transport in much of the North.... Can't get Doctors, failing schools, crumbling infrastructure, run down coastal towns.... It's the job of Government to sort these problems and in doing so marginalise the right

Reform, BXP, UKIP, Brexit..... all the hotbeds are where you find communities who feel "left behind" - Labour lost their hyped "Red Wall" for the same reasons...... If you're in Government & not working to improve the areas of the country that are falling behind then you really are lining up to reap

alternatives we have...... I'm not bothered about honouring the Brexit referendum result, I'm not bothered about Starmer & his red lines, I can ignore the press shouting Brexit Betrayal.... I just want politicians to do what's right for the future of the country!

It's all well & good Rachel Reeves saying “There is no doubting that the impact of Brexit is severe and long lasting” - but I want to know what the effect is.... I want a full assessment of it's effects on the economy, tax take, business costs, pensions, Borrowing, National debt, social issues....
