The "Palace of the Masks" is the most iconic structure in Kabah. In Mayan, "Codz Pop" means "royal mat," which refers to the detailed façade adorned with intricate stonework featuring over 200 masks of Chaac, the rain god.

When we arrived at the parking lot, we initially thought the archaeological zone was closed. However, we walked over to a small gate, opened it, and entered the vast grassy field surrounded by Pre-Hispanic structures! To the left, there was a ticket office, but it was closed.
