ive played so much of this game, and yet i can always come back to it. theres no other game that i could think of where i could spend this much time and still come back to it. any other game would get old. i could double my time in this game and keep playing

but this game has impacted me in a different way than any of those games. ive spent so much time of my life meticulously piecing the satsuma together. i know this car better than i know myself. i know where every part goes, where all the bolts are, and what size they are, i know how to tune it right

this game doesnt have the same emotional weight as all of my other favorite games, and i always feel a little silly when im sharing my favorite games and among the likes of disco elysium, outer wilds, and red dead redemption 2 is this silly finnish game about building a car and drinking beer

9 years ago, My Summer Car release din early access. 1 or 2 weeks later, a 10 year old me watched a video on this game by SpeirsTheAmazingHD on youtube. in the past 9 years ive accumulated 760 hours in the game, and many hundreds more thinking about it, watching videos, listening to the soundtrack
