Who says many, many of these people aren’t doing both? Marching and working hard every day to make things better? Why yuck others’ yum? Many people who actually do this work in communities every day need movements and moments of solidarity, and many people who feel alone may see they are not.

I do think that statement needs to be qualified - many of our immigrant neighbors, particularly the Latine ones right now, are being terrorized and are justly afraid. White ppl in particular need to be showing up.
