First post. In the '90s, I had what might be called one of the original wine blogs. I later started working (2001) and reviewing (2006) wines for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, covering Portugal, Greece, the USA other than the West Coast, and other areas (until June 30, 2023; last day).
It's amazing how many insane things he says that just get lost in the shuffle.
"being a U.S. citizen is already a [federal] requirement....Texans are asked to attest whether they are U.S. citizens when filling out a voter registration card. Anyone who attests on the form that they are not citizens would not be allowed to register."

Texas’ Prop 16: Amendment on voter citizenship would affirm what’s already in state law
Texans are already asked to attest whether or they are U.S. citizens when filling out a voter registration card. Anyone who says they’re not would not be allowed to register.

They have lied so blatantly and for so long, they've even begun to believe their own lies, especially but not exclusively at the grass roots.

Didja see in Texas they just passed a Const amendment to prevent non-citizens from voting? It seems to restate existing law, but...hey, have to stop illegals!
Shop around--a lot of people are making similar things. See what you like best in shape/size. Price comparison. Lots of choices on Amazon

Personally, I wound up getting some stemless ones. If I'm taking them out to an event like a picnic, they fit easily in a bag, but that's a special use for me.
Yikes, I'm looking at the margin in the NJ gov race. That looked to be a squeaker. She destroyed him.
That should bring down the price of rent too
This was as predictable as the sun rising in the morning.
And for Philadelphia district Attorney which is an important race, relatively, Dem. Krasner at the moment leading by about 80 to 20. He wasn't likely to lose, but this could have been closer.

PA judicial retention -- Dems
VA Gov--Dems
Nj Gov--Dems
Cincy Mayor--Dems

Dems taking no prisoners.🍾👍
I have a solution. The Sixers at the moment are trashing Chicago.🏀⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♀️⛹️
Not even a late night squeaker. I'm relieved
This was the one that scared me most. I am glad to hear that
Every propagandist who has ever meant to lie to do harm has understood this. It's hard to be a thoughtful politician and talk about shades of gray. Sometimes I think we are doomed.
So you think the third part of the triangle is money? Maybe. The first part is race. The second part is religious fanaticism. I guess the third part could be the "let them eat cake" crowd. But usually the uber wealthy don't have a lot of numbers. They have a lot of power.
It's called leadership. As opposed to sitting on the stoop cowering in fear and reading polls.
And I keep saying, it's nice that there's a solid victory in an atmosphere like this. But how does a candidate as bad as the Republican get even that many votes? She's awful. The Republicans have been awful. What does it take?
Yeah, you know it sounds like we're joking, but for everything that's happened, he STILL has a 43% approval rating in New Jersey? I think he has an irreducible core of about 28 to 30% support; there are enough radicals for that. But who are these other people? What does it take?
It was fun watching Jerry Jones pretend he's still in contention and needs one more player.

I mean, I guess he had to look like he was working at something given the Eagles activity and the Micah Parsons dust-up.

🏈🦅
I heard others in Philly say there were lines. The biggest race is District Attorney and Supreme Court retention. Let's hope those are good signs.
The irony--it's almost like we're a real country with a national sense.

Almost.
Did you dine with Gary Oldman?
I just saw a disturbing video from former BJ Gov Chris Christie who suggests that Cuomo is like Trump from 2016, meaning, seemingly behind in the polls, nobody wants to admit they're voting for him, but once people are in the booth, they will.

Don't necessarily agree but I see the point
