The #Commanders passing attack looked worse than it has all season against the Seahawks last night. Receivers struggled to get open, but Daniels missed plenty of opportunities too. I took a closer look at the passing game struggles: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The #Commanders made a point of getting second-year defenders Jordan Magee and Tyler Owens on the field against the Chiefs to improve the team speed. So how did the young pair perform? I took a closer look: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
I reviewed the #Commanders defense and what adjustments Dan Quinn/Joe Whitt Jr. made against the Chiefs: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
#Commanders DE Dorance Armstrong was playing great, but is now lost for the season due to injury. So how can the Commanders try to replace him?

-3-4 front with Luvu on the edge?
-Johnny Newton at DE?
-Jacob Martin expanded role?

I took a closer look: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The #Commanders defense can't stop giving up explosive plays, regardless of if they play man or zone. So what are some schematic tweaks that Dan Quinn and Joe Whitt Jr. make to try and fix things? I took a closer look: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
After yet another poor performance from the #Commanders defense, it's time for some changes. I broke down some of their issues and suggested some personnel changes the defense could make going forward: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
#Commanders rookie RT Josh Conerly Jr. had a rough start to his NFL career with an extremely tough opening 3 games, but lately he's showing signs of growth. I broke down his performance against the Bears: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
With Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown out, the #Commanders had to turn to a pair of young receivers in Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane. Both have showed positive signs of development in recent weeks, so I broke down their performances against the Bears: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The #Commanders run defense has been much improved this year, but on Monday night, the Bears opened up old wounds by attacking Washington with perimeter runs. I broke it down: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The #Commanders made a surprise when they benched LG Brandon Coleman for Chris Paul after just 2 games. But 3 games later, Paul has played well and justified the move. I broke down his performances so far: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
Two timely turnovers by the #Commanders defense helped mask some issues on third downs against the Chargers on Sunday. Third down defense is becoming a growing problem, so I took a closer look at what went wrong: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
After knocking of some rust at the start of the game, #Commanders QB Jayden Daniels looked back to his best against the Chargers. I broke down his performance: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
#Commanders rookie RB Jacory "Bill" Croskey-Merritt had a breakout performance against the Chargers on Sunday with his first 100-yard rushing game. I broke it down: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
After an extremely tough opening 3 weeks of matchups, #Commanders rookie RT Josh Conerly Jr. finally had a more reasonable matchup against the Falcons. So how did he do? I took a closer look: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
Javon Kinlaw was one of the most criticized signings of the NFL offseason, but four games into the season so far and he's looking like good value for money for the #Commanders. I broke down his performance against the Falcons: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
I don't think they're struggling in general. But Mariota definitely had one missed read in this game and Jayden had a missed read against the Packers. It does happen occasionally, especially when the DEs are very athletic and able to shift positions on the edge so quickly.
The #Commanders run defense wasn't as bad schematically as it might have felt on Sunday. They often fit things well and had lots of opportunities for TFLs, but missed tackles prevented them from finishing plays. I broke it down: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
Regardless of if they played man, zone or match, the #Commanders had so many issues in coverage against the Falcons yesterday. I did my best to try and break down all of those issues: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
#Commanders rookie CB Trey Amos has been quietly off to a strong start to his NFL career. I took a closer look at how he's played in his first three games: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
#Commanders TE Ben Sinnott had an opportunity to step up with John Bates out injured against the Raiders. He made the most of that opportunity, so I broke down his performance: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
#Commanders DE Dorance Armstrong is off to a hot start this season, leading the team in both sacks and TFLs. He's among the league leaders for both pressures and pressure rate too. I broke down why he's doing so well this year: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The #Commanders run game was dominant against the Raiders on Sunday, leading the team to victory. I broke it all down: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
With Jayden Daniels out injured, Marcus Mariota will start at QB for he #Commanders on Sunday. He has a similar but not identical skillset, so what might change and what might stay the same schematically? I took a closer look: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The #Commanders could be without TE John Bates against the Raiders on Sunday. He's a key part of their run game, so how might they try to adapt their run schemes if Bates is unable to go? I took a closer look: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
The Washington #Commanders struggled on defense against the Packers last week, but their main issue was covering TE Tucker Kraft. I broke down the individual errors that led to Krafts big day: open.substack.com/pub/markbull...
