Last chance to book your place to hear from thought leaders in research impact and co-author a paper with us on the future of the impact agenda. This will be my last message to promote this, as we already have >200 booked, which is a lot of co-authors if you all want to write!
Co-author a paper with me and other leaders in impact, to shape the future of the field. By working with people from different disciplines, outside academia and from around the world, I want to build a future agenda for impact that changes how governments and HE pursues impact.
To launch the Third Edition of my impact handbook, I'm hosting a workshop with foundational and disruptive figures in the global impact field to reflect on the future of the impact agenda.

Workshop attendees are invited to co-author an agenda-setting co-authored paper in Research Evaluation.

The blog suggests a step-by-step way to run photovoice in practice and argues that impact here is what lasts: the quieter shifts in what people notice, how they move through places and what they talk about afterwards, whether or not this fits standard metrics.

- Researchers recognise that who they are shapes what they can know

- Ethics approval and consent are treated as a starting point, not the end

- Participants decide what to show, how to tell it and how images are shared

- Refusal and ambiguity are treated as meaningful, not as gaps in the data

Louisa's work with East and Southeast Asian women in Scottish cities, uses feminist photovoice to surface everyday experiences of visibility, safety and care in public spaces:

When there's a new policy buzzword everyone is jumping on, that connects with your research, should you "provide broad direction, deliberate to tailor policy to new contexts, or carry on regardless"?

The last paper I workshoped like this won "best paper" award and is gaining citations rapidly, but I'm hoping for more real-world impact from this endeavour...
