Art in the age of totalitarian commodification or how "Nobody Wants This" became a sponcon slop. "While the show encourages us to reflect on our own belief system", it becomes difficult, if not impossible, when the show is ramming ads, ads + ads down your throat.

And over them all, the financial kings:
Wall Street, BlackRock, the eternal oligarchy of capital.
They don’t need crowns. Their rule is quiet, algorithmic, and total.
The republic is a stage. The kings still reign.

And then there are the carceral kings.
The defense contractors, private prisons, and security firms who profit from fear. They discipline and punish globally.
They build walls, sell weapons, and surveil everyone.
Locking up the poor, arming the state, fuelling wars and calling it “freedom.”

The digital kings control our attention.
Meta, Google, Amazon, Palantir, they are platform monarchies feeding on our data, shaping our desires, deciding what we see and what we ignore.
Feudalism (if you follow Varoufakis) never ended; it just got Wi-Fi. Or is it techofascism?

Then comes the food empire.
Agribusiness dictates what we eat, what we grow, and who goes hungry.
Subsidies flow to corn and soy, not to the poor. Farmers vanish. Diabetes grows. The land is poisoned, but the kings profit.
#NoKings
But the kingdom doesn’t end there.
Big Pharma rules the body.
You can’t live without insulin or antibiotics, and you can’t buy them without bowing to the price. A human right turned into a market privilege.

Low empathy, NPD or worse? It's worse. It's to do with bullying, vindictiveness and real hate for working and poor people who rely on government help ("Democrat programs"). It's to do with revenge by an emotionally stunted psychopath who gets off on punishment.

Israel makes these illegal, provocative and violent moves all the time and then they unleash a genocide on the occupied and captive Palestinians when they rise up in resistance. Warnings are far from enough. Israel must be kicked out of all occupied territories.

An absolutely shameful behaviour from the rest of Latin America and the world. Instead of closing ranks and saying "an attack on one is an attack on all" and unreservedly condemning Trump's criminal extrajudicial executions, they all remain quiet. Shame!!!

A proportional representation system so the seat count more accurately reflects the overall vote. Guaranteed representation for Indigenous peoples because Canada’s democracy must include those whose land we’re on. Guaranteed representation for women because equality/parity still hasn’t arrived.
Under FPTP, it’s not surprising that one vote might decide an election. The surprise would be if it didn’t. If you don’t like that, don’t just complain about the “single vote” effect: demand a system change. Proportional representation + Indigenous & women’s guarantees is the answer.
The real problem is the system itself. We deserve proportional representation and guaranteed seats/voice for Indigenous folks & women.
If someone in Canada (yes, Quebec included) is complaining that just one vote tipped a federal election under FPTP, they’re missing the point: that’s exactly how FPTP works: winner-take-all, margin often razor-thin.
