The fact that Silent Hill 3 was a direct sequel to Silent Hill 1 was a huge twist at the time. In interviews the creators said it would be like Silent Hill 2 except in a totally new location, no returning characters and we wouldn’t actually see Silent Hill. It was really cool.

In Silent Hill 1 through 3, you're an unstoppable killing machine. Every enemy you just hold square and they die. You never really have to avoid combat in them. In Silent Hill F, avoiding combat is a good idea because weapons break and enemies can kill you fast.

Fascinated by this screen-space effect in Silent Hill f when the lightbulb explodes and "burns" bright light into the walls around it, but only effecting the textures that were in camera frame at the time of the light bulb exploded.
