Then it was his 20th, and his throat stung when the sake poured down. But as he looked at his and Kuroo’s engagement rings, fingers entwined on the grassy knoll of their favorite waterfront, his entire being flooded with warmth against the chill of the October air+

In another, it was his 18th, celebrating his 100 subscriber milestone after midnight. The quality of the low-res camera hid the pink tinted glow across his cheeks when Kuroo’s auto-generated username (that he STILL has to change) popped up in the group chat+

One moment, it was his 9th birthday again, awestruck when he finally made the leaderboard for his favorite game at Taito Station as Kuroo hugged him like the top prize on the shelf+

When the minute hand reached 12 and the first shreds of consciousness came to Kenma, gently stirring awake at 5AM, a few things flashed through his mind in the rush of those fleeting seconds+
