In the US, preventing preventable health issues is a luxury for the elite. Even children are not seen as worth protecting. We see that play out time and time again in all aspects, including in the growing number of uninsured.

Once-in-a-lifetime weather events seem to happen increasingly more often. As a result, weather-induced drug supply chain emergencies are not so rare anymore. If the US closes international supply chain doors, it makes US weather catastrophes all the more significant.
