Decided today was the day (although wish I'd gone yesterday). The sky was full of feathery clouds - quite dreamy.

I listened to @untruth-band.bsky.social - Rich Inner Life 💚 - as I sat at the top & it was bliss

& @dovesofficial.bsky.social Lost Souls💚 - on the way down.

Home to find a wee cd sized package
I feel groggy from too much sleep.

First tunes of the day
Beth Gibbons 💚
Just caught the last of the sun before it dipped.
I can only see the top of Ben Lomond (in the distance, on the left) so anyone who's up there just now will be enjoying a lovely cloud inversion with the sunset.

No.5 25/02/03 - 6 rows back, far side of the Barrowlands - surprised they didn't bill me for the damage to the floor.

No.4 I've seen others blubbing during this so I might allow myself to continue.

After becoming stupidly emotional during a song at the UT gig in Glasgow at the weekend I've been thinking back to previous similar episodes and might make a thread here to try & exorcise this nonsense.

This is me now - only not as happy because I went straight from work with no breakfast and anaesthetic always takes forever to wear off.
Could eat a scabby horse (veggie version)
Everyone should have the right to live in housing that suits their needs within their community - and we do get this right a lot of the time for people with LDs. My issue is some people with LDs still being 'coerced' into sharing homes with people they don't know because ... budgets.

Tax the rich!
Lorne Berkley, SCLD's strategic Lead has written a blog highlighting the need for investment in community-based housing and support, more accessible and adaptable homes, and genuine choice and control for people with learning disabilities over where and how they live.

Happy Birthday!!
I'm about half way through on the audible version and enjoying it a lot - surprisingly, as I don't usually like historical books.
Back to work this morning - probably a good thing for me.
I woke up with horrible anxiety - too much backwards thinking this weekend, I think.

Anyway, listening to this from @robertdallasgray.com as it always creates space in my head for more rational thoughts.
Less than 24 hours breathing Manchester air has me digging out the northern tunes.

My small treasures from the weekend.
Subway ticket from Saturday which I'll keep in lieu of a gig ticket - I miss gig tickets. Sunday's setlist - Jason stood on it a few times and I had to fold it so not as pristine as it once was.
And my first tunes since I got home. Sunday's support act, #douga
I'm very happy to be home to my feline child - don't think it's reciprocated.
In a huff.
I'm not a big traveller - a few days away and I'm usually keen to get home and I always, since I was quite young, get a surge of feeling home as soon as the Ochils come into sight.
Quite a subdued view today but I love these hills in all their different moods.
I'm always battling to live in the moment but it's hard when I'm tired. Places - like music & books - are too many for a lifetime.
My train is heading north now so I'm going to get mindful with Jim & Charlie & with Beethoven the background- and see how long it takes me to crack open the chocolate.
So grateful to be able to travel to Manchester to see @untruth-band.bsky.social for a second night.
The band were on top form, as always, & the crowd were loving it.
The old songs are as special to me as ever but the new album has already won me over 💚
Anyway, here's an oldie
Can't believe I left home on Saturday to travel to Glasgow then Manchester without packing my usual rain gear - risky - but I seem to have got away with it.
Not enough time in Manchester but I'll be back in May for another visit.♥️
That washed out peppermint strip that Belarus are wearing is mingin.
Don't know why I'm torturing myself watching this.
