it's hard to give yourself grace with this kind of thing. my mom is also really unhappy & mentally ill so it kinda makes it feel more complicated to me (even though it really shouldn't)

100%. i was like haha yeah she was terrible & living with her i was in constant fear but she didn't even hit me that much. & then i found out the normal amount your parent's supposed to hit you is actually 0
