I wish i could say the game is playable, and to a certain extent it is, but past taken king, it's so borked. You really have to fight hard for the smallest upgrades.

Which is hilarious because finishing the rise of iron campaign will give you 320 gear through out. its the most rewarding campaign
got extremely lucky with an exotic out of a legendary engram and had enough legendary marks to buy a 380 piece of gear. the rest was just praying to god shit dropped around 270-ish.
"finished" destiny 1. It was a struggle since matchmade activates are required for a good stretch of grinding from level 200 to 280 (the minimum item level to start the rise of iron campaign) and I kept getting into solo instances all the damn time

the amount of work for just one frame of Tron is astounding
Not having an actual model in the world, but a pickup that shows your drop in the UI is such a dogshit design. Not to mention when its just an engram you have to go decrypt back at the tower, which sucks even more.
you wanna know what the worst decision destiny as a franchise did?

no, its not battle passes. no, its not paid transmog. no, its not even the bad campaigns.

its engrams.
As much as I hate the grid from legacy, i can at least look at it as its own visual style. Ares doesn't really take any bold steps to imagining a new visual language for the mainframes, and there are TWO of them in the movie! Why does Dillinger and the new ENCOM mainframe look exactly like the grid!
LRP: its why i despise Ares. Even with the film having the old ENCOM mainframe, it STILL doesn't come anywhere close to what 1982 offered.

I think what's impressive about TRON is that, visually, it's still so much more interesting than any of it's sequels. It's crazy that they tried update this digital world by making it as 'realistically rendered' as possible. It's a complete misunderstanding of the original's charm.
a still from TRON (1982) a still from TRON (1982) a still from TRON (1982) Still from TRON (1982

Putting this here because it needs to be preserved
its impressive this game stuck with systems like this.
Destiny 1 is such a fascinating game. What do you mean I have to level perks on weapons? What do you mean there's no map in instanced areas to view where I'm going?

i thought about it after finishing 7.3, but that one cutscene, while cool, runs into the issues of needing to be updated every single time two new jobs get added with each expac.

TRON: ARES post credit scene is dividing audiences… how do we feel about this?
