Denton's primary export is Seattle residents
that's what we're supposed to do with the pumpkins?!
any sources on it you've got lying around would be appreciated! I've found lots but investigating in the occult + historically marginalized culture section is uhhhhh kinda difficult!

that being said, nonhumanity is so much more than therianthropy and so i like to cater to it broadly so ty <3
fucking tweets aren't really the format for this but i want to say:

It's okay if we are some of the first, but we should acknowledge the responsibility that comes with it. Being Queer takes work and if we are nonhuman elders for pups and cubs still arriving, we should do what we wish our elders had
These folk *did* exist, we are by no means the *first*, but historically, self-identification is very rare, especially as a primary identity (ie. many modern nonhumans might believe their 'soul' to be in some aspects nonhuman, which is not often the case historically). (3/?)
an actual name. People rarely identified as such themselves or even accused each other of being secretly nonhuman witch trial style.

There are some evidences of animist/shamanist beliefs around shapeshifting in Africa, North America, and North Asia, but neopaganism tends to overstate them. (2/?)

I've also heard good things about this paper but have not yet read it so as to not spoil myself. LMK if you need access to it.
It's S2E9, a killer uses a cave bear skull fossil as part of this whole contraption to kill. the show talks about him having an identity disorder, believing himself to be an animal, uses the words "species dysphoria", ultimately cites basically therianthropy as his motive for murder
fun fact a 17th century werewolf reported the ability to turn others simply by sharing a drink with them
fuck i would really like this but cant make it to furpoc.....
how did no one tell me there was a therian episode
WHY DID HANNIBAL DROP "SPECIES DYSPHORIA" WHAT?!?!?!???
putting on a hazmat suit to delve into the Hale Zone
this is why i use it/xe, it is like agender (the absence of gender) and xe ie like agender (the overwhelming Presence of gender)
something isolating in the ground today. something wants me extinguished
if i dont get distracted looking for a book in the stacks above me what is even the point of being a librarian
i keep making this mistake tbh, keep getting hit on by humans and they aren't prepared to fuck an animal
i love passing gallstones it's so great and definitely not debilitating
we could do this /a quarter serious but like. a quarter is kinda a lot.
this is just an ecumenical seriel but seeing it made me nearly slough out of my pelt
