⚡️Consider loading your patients initially with higher dose HCQ:
✅It works faster
✅✅It is safe

🔥One of my favorite parts of the 2025 ACR SLE Management Guidelines!

I have been doing this for over 20 years as a "loading dose": HCQ works faster. This is another steroid-sparing tactic to use in SLE patients.

I do this for 1-3 months initially.

I visited the Basilique de St. Martin in Liege, built in honor of St. Martin due to St. Martin healing the Bishop of Liege of his #SLE #lupus in 963AD.

I was in Georgetown yesterday. I couldn't believe all the military on the streets. NO ONE feels unsafe in Georgetown on a Saturday.

This administration is wasting money.

While 40% of NIH research dollars are removed, and 1 $Billion is taken away from the DC budget (less police officers).

#Ianalumab met its Phase 3 clinical trial primary end points in #Sjogrens. Up to 10% of patients in the clinical trials had seronegative Sjogren's (anti-SSA negative)!

It is on a fast track at the FDA. Let's hope Kennedy doesn't insist that Sjogren's can be cured by just eating better.

I have a patient with RA with LGL. @bluecrosspa.bsky.social only allows Ruxience or Truxima. We gave Truxima as required. CareFirst paid $600 LESS FOR TRUXIMA than the cost! They refuse to pay the true price. If we give her Rituxan, we would not lose $, but CareFirst refuses: system needs fixed!
