Agreed. He’s not perfect, but I can’t come up with a better name that MSU could realistically get. I’m not even sure MSU could realistically get Franklin

He took over Penn State during the Paterno sanctions, and his work at Vanderbilt was impressive. I don’t love him, and think he’s very coordinator dependent, but I think he’s one of few coaches who could make MSU tangibly better immediately

I’m no James Franklin fan, but I’m starting to talk myself into James Franklin to MSU. Since he’s fired, Penn State is paying his buyout, making him really inexpensive to hire, and I bet he’d bring a huge chunk of the Penn State roster with him to East Lansing. He could flip things quickly

Going for it on 4th down there was the right call, but it really sucks that now the final score is going to be embarrassing and not at all indicative of how this game that nobody is watching in the middle of the night went. MSU showed real progress tonight
