I swear the things AWS manages to squeeze out of their data centers should be classified as black magic. You can now create instant copies of EBS volumes with single-digit millisecond latency. Sounds simple - but this is an amazing feat of engineering.

AWS has announced the deprecation of 22 services. Most of these are no surprise, although I did not expect S3 Object Lambda here.

Most deprecated services will remain available for existing users, but will become off limits if you did not use them before.

Reserved seating for AWS Re:Invent opens October 14th! The best and most popular sessions will be gone in seconds, so making a personal must-see list is ✨essential✨. Luckily my friend Raphael Manke made the best session planner for just this purpose. Go check it out at reinvent-planner.cloud!

Big release! Amazon ECS adds the new Managed Instances option, which works like Fargate but allows you to select either specific EC2 instance types or the EC2 properties you’d like. This allows for much more flexibility, like fast single threaded performance or GPUs.

This is the first AWS MCP server I see a lot of value in. The CloudTrail MCP Server allows bots and agents to query up do 90 days of management events and up to 10 years of data in CloudTrail Lake. Wondering if I can use this to debug "why am I getting a permission error" use cases!
