Not a permanent solution but try putting it in stealth mode and see if it still happens. I was getting regular layer shifts around Z=70mm on my XL, still haven't gotten to the bottom of it but stealth mode worked as a temporary fix.

I’ve poked at FreeCAD and some others. Maybe next time around I’ll make the switch, but at this point the opportunity cost of learning a new program outweighs the savings. I’m bought in, unfortunately.

I think every time you post something praising a brand you should have to disclose, at minimum, whether that brand has sponsored you. And preferably how much they spent. I'm not joking, it's at the point where I don't trust major voices in the community because they're all sponsored up.
