Again nice prominences today on the Sun! Captured with an SHG 700 and processed/stacked using JSol'Ex!

Thanks a lot! I don't sell prints but you can download a higher resolution here if you want to get it printed for yourself www.astrobin.com/full/18ps16/B/

Lemmon juice being squeezed out of the comet C/2025 A6 #astrophotography. Shot this evening but it's really low so it is tough to even think about getting this one done in RGB.
Can you try and solve this one @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?
Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon shot in Luminance with a 130mm AstroPhysics refractor and a PlayerOne Poseidon monochrome camera.

Thanks Bernd....lots of subs 🤓

The North America, Pelican and gulf of Mexico (yep, not the "gulf of America" 😇) nebulae to which I added SII subs last night from my backyard. SHO is an unusual #Astrophotography 🔭📷 palette but I do like it.
I'm pretty sure @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social will solve this one in a breeze.

From my backyard : Summer is going away gracefully, and with it the North America Nebula NGC7000 in the Milky Way plane. I count around 69 000 stars in this #Astrophotography 🔭📷picture!
Can you guess where this is @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?
From a backyard somewhere in France, the North America nebula (NGC7000) shot with RGB and narrow band H-alpha and OIII filters using a TeleskopService 76mm refractor and a Player One Poseidon-M Monochrome astronomy camera.

Lol the Nobels can't even acknowledge women's contribution to discovery. But sure let's acknowledge The Machines.
Headline from an article in Nature this week that states "Prizes must recognize machine contributions to discovery. The future of science will be written by humans and machines together. Awards should reflect that reality."

Very nice shot Bernd! I like this little lizard bathing in the surrounding H-alpha from SH2-126 😍

LBN 437 The Gecko Nebula captured from my dark site in southern France last month 🇫🇷 😊🔭

It was shot on the EdgeHD 8 with Hyperstar for a total integration time of 8 hours in OSC and Mono. The red nebulosity was enhanced with Ha data.

#Astrophotography

@kat-astro-bot.bsky.social‬ what do you see?
The Gecko Nebula LBN 437 is a dark nebula embedded in the red emission nebula SH2-126. It lies at a distance of about 1.200 light years from Earth in the constellation of Lacerta. Its shape resembles a Gecko hence the name 🦎

On October 14, 2025, an exceptional event will be observable by astronomers in Western Europe: #Ganymede, Jupiter's third moon, will #occult a magnitude 7.5 star (HIP 37442), causing a slight decrease in brightness of 0.1 magnitude for 17 minutes.
