I’m very late today as I’ve been travelling. #FirstBirdOfMyDay were just North of Toulouse: a small flock of black-winged stilts, flying over the motorway, maybe heading off to their winter feeding grounds. Yes I did have to look them up. 😆

#OnThisDay 3rd November 2014, a beautiful treehouse I saw and wanted on a solo trip to Aveyron, France.

Splendid treehouse with brown wooden sides, a pitched grey roof and a wooden staircase leading up to it. It is halfway up an oak tree. The photo is taken at dusk.

#OnThisDay 2nd November 2016. Bit of a dull photo today, sorry. This is an old pine console table I made into a wash stand for the downstairs loo.

White painted wash stand made from an old console table. The paint is rubbed down in a shabby chic style. The wash basin is rectangular and sits on top of the washstand.

It’s awful here. I’ve got 3 teenagers and we live in a rural area. They are basically trapped into having to have a car if they want to go anywhere. They wouldn’t even be able to get to school, college or work. As well as needing to be free or cheap, there needs to actually be buses running.

Mild, sunny and windy down here in Norfolk too. I love the wind though. I have my bedroom window open at night and love to feel it blowing across me. The curtains were really flapping last night. 🤣
