A lot of AI enthusiasts are keen to use LLMs to write books, and then use LLMs to summarise books and avoid reading them.

It seems to me they do not really care about books, nor reading. It's ok not to like books or reading, but I feel they are wasting time, silicon, and power.

One is pretty much the reduced version of the other. I ran Ruins (well, most of it): the Tower of War is kind of boring, but the Tower of Zagyg is pretty fun!

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.

Those two dead pilots are e loxactly what I'm talking about. Of course the Blackbird did its job: also it was groundbreaking and we are still nerding out about it decades later.
