How much do you bench? 💪 So many groups have been taking the initiative and building benches so that folks waiting for transit have places to wait. These photos came to us from Strong Towns Baton Rouge!
Absolutely. It's great it didn't get into the narrative. The public one anyway. I think the Mary's had that debate angle already destroyed
I can't help wondering what proportion of the spoils/ Gavin votes were just men wanting to have a man to vote for? Is that what they mean when they said there was no one there to represent them? #Áras2025

From a research interview....

"Somebody said to me, road engineers...if they were to build a house, it would be all corridors."

It's a good line, and also probably quite relevant to what we currently prioritise in developing environments to support walking & cycling in urban areas.

This morning I delivered training for SU Sustainability Officers. The resource that gif the best reaction was this @seai-ie.bsky.social tool that records Public Bodies progress in implementing the Climate Action Mandate. Just search for the Uni/public body in the search box! (Better on laptop) 1/2

This great video also reminded me of an interesting facet of motonormativity: people can lose 100 hours a year in traffic and never notice; but they have one late train and it's all "Never again - you can't rely on them"
"Everything you thought you knew about roads is a lie" GCN go hard on induced demand and all the other follies linked to road building www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVq7...

As a parent I love walkable neighbourhoods cause the kids can get places themselves. No big conspiracy, I’m just tired.

This year’s St. Patrick’s Day takes place during a challenging time for those working for a greener future.

But as Mary Heglar reminds us, “This planet is the only home we'll ever have. There's no place like it. And home is always, always, always worth it.”

After I got my driver's license, the bike was dead to me. Fast forward a few decades, add a few trips to the Netherlands, and I returned to two wheels for my physical and mental health.

Bikes don’t fix everything, but active transportation is a medicine that pays dividends in multiple ways.
Assuming your question is rhetorical. But encase it's not... Yes, yes they are!
Aka, going into government ... Gonna win a lot of contracts!
1km from school & our kids regularly walk solo. Have done since about 6/7yo. Residential area with just 1 road to cross which unfortunately is a rat run. But with lots of others walking along the way I think it's really good for them. Road type context & others walking would be important to consider
