From #IPG #socialmedia survey "Nearly half (48%) of publishers now use the platform – a significant spike from 32% just one year ago. More than 4 in 5 (83%) have seen their #Bluesky follower-count rise, making it an even faster-growing platform than Instagram" www.thebookseller.com/news/x-sinks...

I think the pinnable lists make BlueSky one of the most easily accessible for authors looking for agents and editors, or even literary journals or fellow authors. I appreciate how this platform puts the user in charge of their possible feeds. And @debbieohi.com has done so much to make this happen.

When you think it can’t get worse …

Sweetgum on the forest floor photograph by Laura Roettiger
I know we went from having the A/C on early in the week to someone complaining they were cold by the end of the week.
Put a sweater on! #kidlitchat
And now I see I misspelled too! 🤦‍♀️
🥰 thanks for your encouragement, CK.
That’s exactly right! A perfect way to reframe things.
#kidlitchat
Not necessarily. I’ve been working on one MS set in a forest so there’s camouflage and shadows #kidlitchat
Here’s a picture for you, my friend! #KidlitChat
Fall colors
Getting back to the topic (ha, oh yeah that’s right!) I write a lot of STEM related picture books so light and darkness, and nature play an enormous part in my writing #KidlitChat
😓 I'm sorry, CK. That's not good. We are finally having really good colors here and I am enjoying it on every walk and drive I take. #kidlitchat
Ironically just as #kidlitchat began tonight my friend was texting me asking what I'm wearing tomorrow. I've got tickets with her wife to see Stephen Colbert!!!! and I was lamenting that it's probably to cold to wear a summer dress which is truly my favorite thing to wear. Maybe with a sweater
When I look outside and see it’s dark I think, “well that’s the end of that.” but then the clock is at 6:00. I need to reframe it.
#kidlitchat
For me, and I LOVE fall so I know this sounds like I'm complaining, but I'm not!
I find that it's disorienting how dark it gets before I've gotten anything done! And then I have less incentive to work on anything! #kidlitchat
yes, the fall leaves make the color of the sky even more brilliant.
