Lovely. I’m about to do the same with pineapple this morning for a tropical vibe 😊

In the living room, the scent of decay was overpowering. Wallpaper had peeled away in layers leaving the walls almost translucent. The house had been empty, unloved since her grandmother’s passing. But now something #unearthly was living here. And it wasn’t going to give up its home easily. #vss365

She kept the #beetle in a matchbox lined with the last piece of silk from her mother’s nightgown. Each day she let him onto the mahogany table. She could almost hear her mother’s voice. ‘Get rid of that ungodly insect.’ Yet she knew the animal was closer to God than her mother would ever be. #vss365

Loved this last two weeks. Thanks again. The band would probably be The Darkness - just down the road in Lowestoft 😁 when I hear them, they always bring a smile to my face.

This raises so many questions. I love it 👏👏👏

Thanks for sharing your prompts with us. It's been a pleasure to participate even if I didn't make it every day.

She ordered the #deluxe because no matter what he’d said, she was worth it. #vss365

Oh goodness this is a hard question. Music brings back so many memories of time and place and people. Two that come instantly to mind are Wonderwall by Oasis as we played this on a road trip honeymoon. For my mum now gone I’d choose Midnight Train to Georgia as we used to sing this together.

I loved Adam and the Ants too and still crank the radio up a notch or two if one of their
Songs gets played.

Their voices in the school corridor gave off a sinister #undertone yet when she turned the corner, they smiled. This was a weird place. She’d put it down to being new but the place gave off a strange vibe, like it was waiting for an imminent tragedy to strike and everything would unravel. #vss365

Great first single choice. Mine was Loving you by Minnie Ripperton.

Good to know Sadie. And it's only Minx’s hearsay as nobody really know what the dust is or where it comes from. But useful knowledge to store away for the future 🧐

They’d been told not to go there but who ever listened to parents. The giveaway was the white dust that settled on their clothes, in their hair and on the tongue. Minx said it was #ash from the bodies that burned but nobody knew. Nobody knew how the fire started either. It was forever ago. #vss365

As soon as she sat down that first day at the office, she knew they’d #clash. Her new colleague sat opposite, didn’t even acknowledge her existence. Not a hello or even a nod in her direction.

She didn’t know what she’d done. Later she’d find out. It was nothing but everything. #vss365

Her eyes fly open as something winds its fingers through her hair. She kicks off, scraping against the pool's rough concrete floor. The shiny railing above mocks her. Only a few strokes away. Blue. Chlorine. Blue. She breaks the surface. ‘No swimming without a lifeguard,' the sign states.

The venue for last night’s #bookclub meeting in our village. The old church is now a community hub.

As I strolled up after a hectic day, I stopped for a moment to take in its beauty and to snap this picture and to remind myself how #thankful I am to live in this gorgeous part of #Wales.
Picture of an old church now a community hub, with the doorway and two stained glass windows illuminated

So we have arrived. I’ve always loved October. My mum’s birthday falls this month and it was also the month she died, seventeen years already. It holds a melancholic sweetness for me of memories gone and ones yet to make. #October #Autumn
