Restricting access (age-verification laws) and creating liability for publishing (FOSTA/SESTA) have been the shorter term solutions.

Censorship is not one thing (book bans) but a series of strategies used to limit access to ideas that the government finds dangerous or destabilizing.

it’s increasingly obvious that furrjoi/feturax/smitizen are not staffed by people from the community they’re marketing to, which used to just result in stolen designs and ugly originals, but a line has to be drawn when they’re encouraging customers to put their lives at risk with their products
