His wardrobe is covered in post it notes full of ideas for his fantasy novel. He loves worldbuilding and is a successful D&D dm (he just has trouble finding players). He's also active in theatre class and the school paper. Busy guy.

They have been in the same class from 7th til 10th grade (current), and have spoken a couple of times due to both working for the school paper. He writes, she takes photos. They aren't friends. But they get along well. I love them together.

As far as I know, "comic" means everything that is a story told in pictures. So manga, cartoons, and graphic novels all are comics. But I see your point! And these terms tend to evoke different concepts in people.

This year, I was suddenly hit with the realisation that comics are "just" stories. Like novels. Or movies. It shattered my belief that comics were some sort of higher being, but they aren't. Comics are a medium. A really cool one though that can do things that other mediums can't.
